Cream Cheese Frosting [Fail..]

So as I post on this blog, I think it is important to not only post my crafting successes, but to also post the not so good endeavors. That being said... today we behold Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. I present to you...Exhibit A. 
The cake turned out very good! Jesse loves carrot cake so on Saturday I whipped him one up, the frosting was not so good. As you can see, its chunky, slightly runny, odd in color, and has a rather nasty texture to it. Thankfully my husband doesnt mind how his food looks, and he told me it still tastes great.

Not my best work to be honest here. I'm sure some day I will try it again. Here is the recipe if you're a brave soul. 

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces unsalted butter softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
