BEST Cookie Recipe ON EARTH!

This is the recipe that I grew up with in the kitchen. My mom always used this, so it only makes sense biologically and traditionally that I make it mine as well. It's actual tittle is: Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies by Crisco


  • 3/4 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • OR 3/4 cup Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 3/4 cups Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup) 


 Cookies on pan ready to bake, as you can see I prefer M&M's over Chocolate Chips

 Mmm, I'm ready for my close up Mr. Deville, (a little Sunset Boulevard reference for ya...)

 Silly me, baked them and ate them... I forgot to take a picture of them on the pan... So you get a picture of the last two right before they go into Jesse's lunch box. :) 

 I bake mine for 10 min and take them out, the recipe says 12-15 but I like them to be nice and soft. :) 

Here are the balls I rolled and stuck in the freezer so we can have cookie dough or cookies whenever we please.. I have personally found that rolling balls works better than the ice cube tray. 

The ice cube trays like below, were too hard to pop out, the fell apart and got warm and mushy as soon as you touched them. The rolled balls stayed hard and were much easier to handle.

So I vote roll it as opposed to the tray, but the tray was a brilliant idea...
